Take synthetic rubber NBR/HNBR cross-linking reaction as an example –

NBR/HNBR has good rebound resilience, good abrasion resistance, and good chemical resistance.

Sulfur cured NBR/HNBR rubber vulcanization theory:

A.  Saturated cross-link reaction provides good rebound resilience. When sulfur was not completely reacted, it’s easy to generate outgassing under the vulcanization system. The outgassing could cause a short-circuit in precision electronic components. PMP could ensure a saturated cross-link reaction and no residual sulfur after the reaction. Free of regulated substances, outgassing, and also compliance with FDA and biocompatibility.

B.  Take NBR material as an example, the drawback is bad ozone resistance, bad aging resistance after solar exposure. PMP could maintain good ozone resistance, good anti-aging in NBR material by changing the adjusting the recipe and chemical structure.

C.  HNBR can make up for the drawback of NBR but is more expensive than NBR.

Peroxide cured NBR/HNBR rubber vulcanization theory:

A.  Saturated cross-link reaction provides good rebound resilience. Free of outgassing generated since no sulfur cross-linking agent involved. There is no regulated substances and compliance with FDA and biocompatibility.

LSR curing process – 

Pt catalyst LSR-

      • Silicone rubber is cured with Pt catalyst and can be cured under an O 2 environment.
      • Curing reaction temp. is 120oC ± 15°C.
      • If we would like to protect the “anodic layer” of 1st metal from color change, the material is suggested to cured @ 80oC.
      • Temperature & curing time of A/B mixing pipe and storage environment should be well controlled.
      • Perform good flexibility and stability after the chemical cross-linking process.
